On Saturday, January 30, 2016 St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters sponsored an "Annual Dinner for the Needy" held at St. John's Church, near Penn Station in Manhattan.

Our guests for the day were people were homeless or simply in need of a helping hand. Volunteers waited on hundreds of these special guests, serving them "restaurant style" at numbered tables. The hearty meal featured a delicious menu that included: penne pasta with meatballs, herb-spiced chicken, rice, salad, rolls, coffee, tea, cake and cookies.

What's more is that guests had an opportunity to choose a coat from donations and receive other winter weather gear to brave the frigid temps this year.

Thank you to those who volunteered to help hundreds of people in need. We are sending a special thank you out to June Tang-How who coordinated this annual effort.
