In the months leading up to our 14th Annual Women of Valor Awards Tea 2016, Dylan Lauren, the recipient of our Macy's Community Star award spent her afternoon at a location we help.

As the Founder and CEO of Dylan's Candy Bar (and daughter of iconic fashion designer Ralph Lauren) we were thrilled to have Dylan on-hand at a local senior center in Manhattan. Not only does this location have various several meal seatings to feed people on site, they also send out home-bound meals to those who are too frail to travel. While there, Dylan had the opportunity to serve meals, interact with seniors and witness the entire operation firsthand.

It is one thing to know about the misfortune of others and something much different to know and do something meaningful to help out. We appreciate Dylan taking the time out to give back and make this "sweet" afternoon visit.

Happy to have Dylan Lauren on-site at one of the locations we help. It is truly "sweet" to have a special visitor with us today.

The seniors are enjoying their meal and meeting Dylan today. Sr. Elizabeth and Dylan share a candid moment.
