Back in March, as part of their Annual Bag Hunger Month, our friends from Macy's spent an afternoon packing 200 "Easter Dinner Baskets." These baskets were chock full of ingredients to make a delicious dinner, including: a canned ham, sweet potatoes, green beans, corn, mashed potatoes and more!

Four days before Easter, we distributed 100 of them to the very excited students at PS 214x in the Bronx to ensure that their families could enjoy a hearty holiday meal. Thank you to Mrs. Jagarnath of P.S. 214x for helping us to coordinate this distribution.

The remaining 100 baskets went to a Senior Center in Manhattan that Macy's works closely with.

We would also like to send a big thank you to Tara Troy and Edmin De Los Santos for spearheading the Easter Dinner Basket project, and for rallying Macy's volunteers to prepare these special baskets and also handmade greeting cards.

"Yummy! I can't wait for Easter Dinner!" Students from PS 214 in the Bronx.
