Girl Scout Cookie Program

At Girl Scouts, "Can I?" quickly turns into "I will!" as "girls transform their ideas into action, turn their questions into adventure and grow their confidence through practice.” Girl Scouts also have a rich history of giving back to their communities and are challenged to be part of that tradition by actively participating in service projects. The “Cookie Share” program, for instance, allows girls to collect donations of cookies for local charities.

Throughout the Girl Scout cookie “season,” St. Francis purchases hundreds of boxes of cookies from the Girl Scouts, who in turn spend time helping distribute them at different food pantries, usually as special and welcome treats in our clients’ weekly grocery bag of staple foods!

St. Francis Food Pantries couldn't think of better volunteers to work with. Thank you to these special Girl Scouts and to the moms for doing a terrific job raising terrific, caring daughters!

Joe Sano pioneered this annual program. St. Francis shares the same philosophy of giving back.

"Can I?" turns into "I will!" Our clientele love the special surprise.

The young girls have this opportunity to meet and greet people.
Each distribution is different based on that pantry's wishes.
This day care center gave each child a box to take home to their families.
