Our corporate-sponsored "Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich Making Days" program has quickly become very popular among companies seeking to give back in a hands-on way. Working as a team, volunteers form an assembly line to make and package as many sandwiches as possible within a specified timeframe.

Macy's kicked off the program year by sponsoring two of our first "PB&J Days" of 2014 in January and February. These MMG team members donated their time, working together to prepare thousands of sandwiches to be distributed throughout our food pantries and shelters. These sandwiches are a great addition to our "Brown Bag Feeding Program" which supports our network of over 40 locations.

A familiar face, Christine Grasser of Macy's was on hand to oversee her team of exceptional volunteers and also participate in the PB&J project.

If your company is interested in sponsoring a PB&J Sandwich Making Day with St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters, please contact us for details.

Team Macy's sponsored our first PB&J Day of 2014. Who needs a gym membership when you can scoop peanut butter?

Quick photo op - but the sandwiches are never put down! "This is the most fun we've ever had giving back!"

These volunteers' strategy seems to be working quite well. Great job so far, Macy's crew!

Christine Grasser and Frank Derasmo of Macy's are always cheerful staples at our PB&J sandwich days!
We agree: "Volunteering is always in Fashion."
Thank you Macy's for taking the time to help feed our clients!
