What is it about a peanut butter and jelly sandwich? It's practically a universal language. Wherever the magic comes from, there’s just something about PB&J sandwiches that always seems to bring people together! If we ever doubted this fact, the unparalleled success of our ongoing PB&J sandwich-making program wipes away those doubts one sandwich at time.

Over the past few months, volunteers from Macy's, KPMG, Colgate Palmolive, Polo Ralph Lauren, CGS and Maxons Restorations have partnered with us to prepare and package peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The sandwiches were then sent to several New York City-area food pantry locations that we provide with support.

The bottom line: Hundreds of volunteers donated their time to make over 10,000 sandwiches to help us feed those in need.

We cannot say thank you enough to these employees, managers and companies who donated their time in the morning, afternoon or evening hours to give back to St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters – and all the families who depend on our support to make ends meet!
