While monetary donations and donated products or services can have a tremendous impact on St Francis Food Pantries, volunteer programs have as great a value. Our PB+J program in 2018, for instance, totaled 150,000 sandwiches made and distributed. That’s a lotta lunches!

We have too many corporate volunteerism partners to thank in such a small space, but these programs benefit both the giver and the recipient. Some of the benefits our corporate partners have told us about include an increase of employee engagement, development, teamwork and morale.

A recent study noted that the millennial generation is committed to changing the world for the better. They see the career landscape differently, and they want to work for a company that shares their values, including supporting causes they agree with.

All of this still just scratches the surface of how the StFFP PB+J program benefits our partners. Providing 150,000 instant meals for our fellow brothers and sisters in need, that’s the real deal. Thank you to all!
