One week before Thanksgiving volunteers from Macy's partnered with St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters for a festive holiday project.

"Sharing the Feast" was the perfect theme on Tuesday, November 15th as over 50 volunteers worked together, to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets. These baskets were filled with all of the fixings for a delicious holiday meal, including stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, mash potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes and marshmallows.

Fast forward to a few hours - and countless smiles - later, and these awesome volunteers had prepared 200 baskets. Half of these were filled with a canned ham and the other half with gift certificates to purchase a turkey. Handmade greeting cards were included with each basket and served as the symbolic "cherry on top" of an incredible day of generosity and teamwork.

The baskets were delivered to a local senior center and an elementary school in the Bronx to ensure that these people could focus on family and togetherness - versus worrying about having enough food to eat.

As always, we are sending a heartfelt Thank You to Macy's for giving back with us this season!
