In what’s become somewhat of an annual tradition for both of us, the week before Thanksgiving, volunteers from Macy's partnered with St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters to prepare Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets for our clientele. These baskets were filled with all of the fixings for a delicious holiday meal, including stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce, mash potatoes, corn, sweet potatoes and marshmallows.

A warm and grateful shout-out of thanks to Macy’s Christine Grasser, Kimberly Nicolich and Julio Bolivar for their help in organizing and pulling off this important effort. We couldn’t have done it without you…and what an incredible display of teamwork!

While we deliver these baskets to a number of locations, such as senior centers and elementary schools, this year we were able to include a shelter for battered women, many of whom find it nearly impossible to celebrate a holiday, given the anonymity under which they must live. As always, we continue to be grateful to Macy's for giving back with us this and every season.
