Spin for Hunger
The first Annual "Spin for Hunger" to benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters was held Saturday December 3, 2011 at Flywheel Sports Club on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. Grubb & Ellis was the Presenting Sponsor for the event and Flywheel was the Club Sponsor. Other Sponsors included Macy's, Fox 5 New York, Nalini Method, Larabar, and Athleta.
Event Co-Chair Dana Trulis of Grubb & Ellis and Co-Chair Rosanna Scotto, Co-host of Fox 5's "Good Day New York" inspired the over 40 other "spinners" participating in the event. Ines Rosales, Fox 5 News Traffic Reporter was also on Rosanna's team, and assisted Rosanna in Fox 5's news coverage of the event. Flywheel Spin Instructor Jesse Alexander conducted the 45 minute spin class for the event. Awards were given to the top fundraising teams and individuals, gift bags were distributed to all spinners who also participated in a special raffle.
"Spin for Hunger" was a fun and exciting way for the participants to exercise while raising over $27,000 to help the men, women, seniors and children supported by our network.
