11th Annual Women of Valor Awards Tea

Macy's hosted over 750 guests at the Eleventh Annual "Women of Valor" Awards Tea held on August 1, 2013 at the Waldorf Astoria. Seven extraordinary women from the real estate and construction industry were honored for their outstanding charitable works in the community and improving the lives of those less fortunate.

Rita Cosby, Emmy winning TV Anchor, Radio Host and bestselling Author was the Honorary Chair and Keynote Speaker. Ms. Cosby was also presented with a special award by Ernie Anastos from Fox 5 News.

Margaret Grioli, Vice President of Corporate Communications and Employee Giving for Macy's presented the Macy's "Community Star" Award to Pat Kenny of The Jones Group.

The Guest of Honor was Rosalie Mignano-Aste, of IMG. Humanitarian Award Recipients were Shelly Bloch, of Skadden, Arps, Slate Meagher & Flom LLP and Lois Palguta, of Conant Architects.

The Clarisa Award Recipients were Suzanne Carlson of NBBJ, Laurie Hutner of WB Wood, Michelle Marwood of Two Sigma Investments, LLC, and Gay Schaye of Grey Group.

All proceeds Raised at this event benefited St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters which helps feed over 10,000 poor families and serve over 1.5 million meals per year in the New York area.
