14th Annual Women of Valor Awards Tea

On Thursday, July 28, 2016 we held our Fourteenth Annual "Women of Valor" Awards Tea to benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters.

Hosted by Ernie Anastos of Fox 5 NY News, the event took place inside the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria New York, honoring a distinguished group of women who are leaders in their careers and in their communities.

Our 2016 honorees were: Keynote Speaker Melanie Contreras (Founder, Women to Women by Julia); Guest of Honor Claudia Bertolino, (Managing Director, Citco Fund Services, USA Inc.); Macy's Community Star Award Recipient Dylan Lauren (President, Dylan's Candy Bar); Humanitarian Award Recipients: Lisa A. Brown, Managing Director, National Director, Local Government Urban Efficiency (Johnson Controls); Sara Rubenstein, General Counsel (Simone Development Companies); Clarisa Award Recipients: Sarah Berman, President (The Berman Group) and Alyson J. Blewett, Director, Business Transition & Movement Management Project Management (CBRE Inc.).

With special thanks to our 2016 Tea Committee: Tea Chair Margaret Grioli, VP of Corporate Communications and Employee Giving (Macy's); Committee Co-Chairs Jacqueline Barr (Ted Moudis Associates), Gina Rizzo (Herman Miller) and our Nomination Committee: Linda Neely (Knoll Inc.), Ellen Canny (Haworth), Lucy Carter (JLL), Debra Cole (HLW International LLP), Amy Fleming (BlackRock), Michele Medaglia, President & CEO (ACC Construction Corp) and Deborah van der Heyden (JLL).

Therapist and famed media personality Dr. Ruth Westheimer (our Women of Valor 2015 Keynote Speaker) also attended the empowering and exciting afternoon.

With nearly 800 guests in attendance this was another highly successful Woman of Valor Awards Tea event.
