15th Annual Women of Valor Awards Tea

On Thursday, July 27, 2017, St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters celebrated our 15th Annual "Women of Valor" Awards Tea to benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters.

Hosted by Macy's, this year's venue took place at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, honoring a distinguished group of women who are leaders in their careers and in their communities.

Our Guest of Honor was Diane Fields, (NYC Portfolio Manager, Empire State Realty Trust); and the Macy's Community Star Award Recipient was Joan Hornig (Founder, Joan Hornig Jewelry).

The Women of Valor Award Recipients were: Nicole Baker, Partner (Studio Office Solutions); Alexandra Liz, Director, Global Real Estate & Facilities (Duff & Phelps, LLC); Melissa Marsh, Senior Managing Director, Occupant Experience (Savills Studley); Lori Okun, Partner (Ernst & Young); and Karen Ramos, Managing Director (Crédit Agricole CIB).

With special thanks to our 2017 Tea Committee: Tea Chair Tara Troy, Sr. Manager Employee Giving Volunteerism (Macy's, Inc.); Committee Co-Chairs Alyson J. Blewett (CBRE, Inc.); Christine Converse Hogan (Fortress Investment Group) and Linda Neely (Knoll). We would also like to recognize our Nomination Committee: Jacqueline Barr (Ted Moudis Associates); Sarah Berman (The Berman Group); Claudia Bertolino (Citco Fund Services (USA) Inc); Ellen Canny (Haworth); Lucy G. Our Special Guest Speakers were Deputy Commissioner of Health Sonia Angell MD, MPH from the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, Rita Cosby (Emmy Winning TV Host and Best Selling Author), and Rikki Klieman, (CBS News Legal Analyst, Criminal Defense Attorney and wife of former NYC Police Commissioner Bill Bratton.)

With more than 800 guests in attendance, the Woman of Valor Awards Tea event has proven to be a success in gathering so many individuals and corporations to raise the necessary funds to support our mission.
