16th Annual Women of Valor Awards Tea

On Wednesday, August 1st, 2018, St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters celebrated our 16th Annual "Women of Valor" Awards Tea to benefit St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters.

Hosted by Macy's and presented by the Red Apple Group, this year's venue took place at the Marriott Marquis in Times Square, honoring a distinguished group of women who are leaders in their careers and in their communities.

Our Guest of Honor was Andrea Catsimatidis, Principal, Red Apple Group; and the Macy's Community Star Award Recipient was Alyssa Youngerman, Senior Director, Employee Communications and Philanthropy, Ralph Lauren.

The Women of Valor Award Recipients were: Melissa Armenti, Director of Global Real Estate and Corporate Services, Lazard; Cristen Colantoni, Principal at HLW; Jena Hwang, Executive Director at Morgan Stanley; Julie May, East Division Manager at Gunlocke; Ayda Melo-Taveras, Facilities Director at WeWork; Sonya Verny, Vice President of Corporate Solutions Development at Colliers International

Our Honorary Chair and Keynote Speaker was Letitia James, Public Advocate for the City of New York.

With more than 700 guests in attendance, the Woman of Valor Awards Tea event has proven to be a success in gathering so many individuals and corporations to raise the necessary funds to support our mission.
