As we finish off the last quarter of the year, we are immensely proud of St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters' accomplishments and look forward to what is in store for 2017.
On Thursday, November 3rd we held our Seventeenth Annual Doodle For Hunger Celebrity Art Auction at Pier Sixty, Chelsea Piers in NYC. Presenting Sponsors Margo and John Catsimatidis welcomed Academy award winning actress Olympia Dukakis as the Guest of Honor. Tony Danza and his band thrilled the crowd with his nightclub act.
Recently, Bumble Bee Tuna surprised us with a massive shipment of seafood products to feed our clients. Thank you Chris Lischewki for making this donation happen!
Before the madness of the holiday season began, our friends from Con Edison sponsored a fun and creative Arts and Crafts Party for our clients who are children.
We always look forward to receiving in-kind donations, especially when they are unexpected! In addition to our annual Winter Holiday Drives, which include gifts of toys, coats and more, we have been fortunate enough to receive boxes of Cereal, Chips and Shoes Donation.
With your help, this Thanksgiving we were humbled to be able to provide over 6,000 turkeys to less fortunate families. In addition, volunteers from Macy's packed Thanksgiving Dinner Baskets to ensure everyone would have a hearty meal.
