Food For Thought
The year 2014 was an incredible one for our organization and the clients we serve. Thank you all for being a part of it!

Our impact could be felt in a big way as we distributed: baby clothing, formula, diapers, winter coats, clothing, household items and toys. In addition, we provided hundreds of personal hygiene kits, more than 1,000 backpacks with school supplies, tens of thousands of cases of food and over 100,000 PB&J sandwiches (across 38 Corporate-Sponsored PB&J Days)!

The 'spirit of giving' is an important sentiment to us year-round, but even more so during and leading up to the special month of December.

Two of our major FUNdraisers took place, just days apart, at the end of the year: our Fourth Annual "Spin for Hunger" and "Texas Hold'Em Tournament and Casino Night."

Our charity ride found a new home at SoulCycle in Brooklyn and welcomed Rosanna Scotto and Ines Rosales of Good Day NY, Fox 5 as our Guest Spinners and Honorary Co-Chairs.

Keith Hernandez, New York Mets legend and Bobby Valentine, Former New York Mets Manager were Guests of Honor at our Casino Night, and Ottis Anderson, New York Giants Superbowl XXV, MVP was our Celebrity Auctioneer.

Members of the Downtown United Soccer Club held a Food/Can Drive, at Pier 40, to collect important items on our behalf.

On a Thursday afternoon over 200 children from a Bronx school had some time away from the classroom at our annual "Holiday Give Back Party" sponsored by Macy's!

Our Annual Children's Holiday Party took place on the Saturday before Christmas and is always a magical way to conclude the year. Volunteers from Macy's and Time Warner pitched in to serve food, play with guests, pick out toys and ensure a fantastic day.

As the year drew to a close and the temperatures dropped, the needs of our clients became even more urgent. Thankfully, many of our Supporters sponsored various "Winter Drives and Projects" to collect essential items that allowed us to supply these requests.

Here is to a bright and prosperous New Year that is filled with a renewed sense of vigor to help others, give back and change the lives of all those we can. Happy 2015!
