St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters Third Annual "Spin for Hunger" was held Sunday December 8, 2013 at Flywheel Sports Club on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. This event is a fun and exciting way to exercise while raising funds for the seniors, children, men and women helped our mission. Jesse Alexander - a great Spin Instructor at Flywheel - donated his time and energy to conduct the 45 minute spin class. Avison Young was the Presenting Sponsor, and Flywheel was the Club Sponsor. Macy's, Fox 5 New York, Haworth, Ted Moudis Associates, Herman Miller, JRM Construction Management, and WB Wood were just a few corporations among the other major Sponsors. Event Co-Chair and Spinner Dana Trulis of Avison Young was joined by Honorary Chair and Spinner Ines Rosales of Fox 5's "Good Day New York" to kick off the day. Together they inspired over 40 other "spinners" participating in the event to "Work Out. Feel Good. Give Back". Rosanna Scotto, Co-Host of Fox 5's "Good Day New York" featured the event on her morning show. Special awards were given to the top fundraising teams and individuals, and gift bags and tee shirts were distributed to all spinners. "Spin for Hunger" is always a great event and experience for the participants who exercised and raised over $50,000 to help the less fortunate in the New York area helped by St. Francis Food Pantries and Shelters.
